Chris White
BSc (Est Man) MRICS MCI (ARB)
Managing Director
Since the late 70s Chris White has practised as a Commercial Chartered Surveyor
along the London to Birmingham M40 having been based in High Wycombe and Aylesbury,
setting up a new commercial practice in Banbury in 1988.
Chris has substantial experience along the M40 and is extremely well connected
with local authorities and companies in the area, having also served for 11
years as Chairman and President of the North Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce.
His areas of expertise are focused on Commercial Property Development; Site
Assembly; Planning and Occupier Consultancy. Chris directs the Company’s Commercial
Property Agency and Marketing Team and is well known throughout the industry
for his ‘northern directness’ and sense of humour!
Chris is a proud ‘Teessider’ and is also a season ticket holder at Middlesbrough FC and loves tanks (of the military variety) and pill boxes.
The attached picture (click to enlarge) was taken at the Kubinka Tank Museum
60 miles west of Moscow where Chris received permission from the military authorities
to inspect their superb tank collection. Unfortunately however the trip also
coincided with Middlesbrough’s appearance in the UEFA Cup Final (their
first European final) which took place on 10th May 2006 – Middlesbrough
lost to Sevilla in the final!

Andrew Fairbairn
FRICS LLM
Director
Andrew has over 25 years property experience and is a founding Director of
White Commercial having previously worked for Chesterton and Fairbairn Wild.
Andrew is responsible for all Commercial Property Management, Investment and
Professional work including rent reviews, lease renewals and rating work. Andrew
is also a party wall surveyor and provides advice in boundary disputes.
He has undertaken research into advanced commercial property law and is an occasional
lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. This enables Andrew to identify opportunities
for clients to optimise their returns from, and use of, their property holdings.
Andrew is an active Rotary member and also exercises his penchant for beauty,
tranquility and excitement by sailing a 7.9 metre yacht off the southern coast
of Cornwall and trekking mountains in search of rock scrambles, exposed ridges
and panoramic views! These pursuits encouraged him in 2009 to undertake
a 1,200 mile walking, cycling and kayaking challenge from the Scilly Isles to
the Shetland Islands to raise money for schools for disabled children in Uganda.

Helen Boswell
Client Account Manager
Helen is responsible for the active management of client’s accounts for the company’s Management Department, working closely with the White Commercial Surveyors Management Team to ensure a high level of service and the requirements of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Helen has substantial experience also running her own Book Keeping/Management Business for a number of external clients.
Helen enjoys playing hockey for Shipston Ladies, in the Warwickshire Hockey League and says “I have been playing hockey for longer than I care to remember and it will hopefully keep me fit into and beyond my 40’s !”

Hilary Maggs
PA to Chris White MD
Hilary has worked with Chris since joining the company as his PA in January
2008. With a strong background of secretarial and financial experience
Hilary is an integral part of the Commercial Agency/Valuation Team actively
liaising with clients and external parties.
Hilary has substantial knowledge of the company's transactional business and
works closely with Chris on all aspects of White Commercial Surveyors Ltd.
In her spare time Hilary is Editor of her village newsletter and tries to keep
herself fit!

Jill Brown
B.Sc (Hons), MRICS
Property Management Consultant
Jill qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1982 working in Banbury for Colliers,
Bigwood & Bewlay later Chesterton before becoming a Consultant Surveyor
with Woodward & Rosier in 1992.
Jill acts as a Property Management Consultant to the business, carrying out all
types of professional and management work, whilst working closely with the accounting
team.
Jill is a Governor at Shenington CE Primary School and in her spare time enjoys
fell walking, camping and being outdoors.

Wendy Kingston
PA to Andrew Fairbairn
Wendy works as Andrew Fairbairn’s PA and is also Senior Office Administrator. Wendy
has over 20 years commercial property experience in the M40 region having worked
with Chesterton, Berry Morris and Fairbairn Wild.
Wendy is married to Chris White and is therefore well versed with most aspects
of the business!!
In her spare time Wendy can be found in her wellies – working on the family
sheep farm!!

Wendy Thorne
Marketing Manager
Wendy Thorne has worked for White Commercial since February 2000, having previously
worked for Millward Brown and Savills.
Wendy is responsible for all aspects of the marketing and occupier research for
the company working closely with the Commercial Agency Team. As well as this
Wendy is also our qualified health and safety officer.
Outside work Wendy enjoys many different hobbies, including walking, historic
places and archaeology - but her favourites are cooking, shopping and eating
chocolate!!

Scott Lord
Consultant
Scott has over 40 years of commercial property experience having practiced in Banbury for over 30 years and in later years on his own account as Kingsleys Limited.
As a consultant to White Commercial Scott works nationally on projects including land assembly for future development and on investment purchases/disposals. For many years he has also been involved in project management of petrol stations throughout the county.
Scott loves walking, cycling and sailing living on the edge of Exmoor.

Charlie White
Trainee Surveyor/Marketing Assistant
Charlie White is studying for a degree in Urban Estate Management and Business
Studies in Nottingham and currently provides various support services within
White Commercial including the administration of the Company’s substantial
occupier and customer contact database and assistance with the implementation
of White Commercials marketing initiatives.
Charlie is an avid Middlesborough Football Club supporter and season ticket holder.
